Principal's Message *

 

Dear Sycamore Families, 

On behalf of the Sycamore Staff I would like to welcome you to the 2023-2024 school year. Here at Sycamore we pride ourselves on our family-like atmosphere. We are a welcoming neighborhood school where students and adults feel comfortable. Sycamore believes in educating the “whole” child and are proud of how we differentiate our instruction to meet individual student’s needs.

Our collective talents provide on any given day: a dedication to rigor and academics, guest speakers, grade level based outdoor learning experiences, hands on and project based activities, a developed STEM Lab which fosters science and creativity, an overtone expressing dedication to the Medal of Honor curriculum; where we strive to be good citizens, living out the traits of: Kindness, Patriotism, Sacrifice, Commitment, Courage, Responsibility, Integrity, and Citizenship. At Sycamore you will experience an inclusive community, where we believe we are one school and one student body.

Sycamore has strong leadership in our PTA, which supports students with a certificated art teacher, and a fabulous music teacher. They sponsor the Harvest festival, book fairs, field trips, and student programs. You can also find their monthly newsletter on our weekly SMORE newsletter.

In closing simply stated, Sycamore’s Sparkle is “a Community of Caring where staff, parents, students and local businesses are working together to make things happen!”
